As one of my 12 twelves of '12 I am reading more! Reading for fun;) A while back I was trying to find some new books for Adrian to read. Harry Potter and anything by Rick Riordan are his favorites, but when he is reading the series' over for the 4th time I think it's time to get him hooked on something else! I talked to the youth librarian at our local library and he gave me several suggestions of different series to try. I got the first books of several different ones for Adrian to try out. Most of them he didn't even finish the first books because he went right back to Percy Jackson. And then he started the Ranger's Apprentice series. He can't stop reading them. I was totally unfamiliar with them, but trusted the librarian. Adrian has been begging me to read them and I told him I would once we got past Christmas;) Well, I started last week. And I can't stop reading these books. Confession: I have broken my goal to go to bed before midnight twice this week because I just couldn't stop reading! Also, I may have started the 4th book this morning after breakfast and finished it a little after lunch today. The amazing thing is that I was totally doing other stuff at the same time. I folded laundry while reading. I cleaned while reading. I totally recommend these books for those of you who want an easy read with an addicting story line.
the best part: this series has 11 books in it and he's writing the 12th one. I could read this series and be done with my goal for the year! Love it.

AWESOME!!! I have been really enjoying the nonfiction historical books I've read lately (life of Elizabeth Cady Stanton is what I'm reading now), but next I need a series--a killer series I can't put down. Thank you! I will give it a try. :)
